Top 10 Tournament Wins
After a great performance in the finals last night by Wayne and Max, I was thinking about where it ranks in the greatest wins in the EFL. Over the past few years some really incredible wins have taken place - sometimes a team no one would have expected comes from no where and wins it... Sometimes its a dominant display by a very strong team. I didn't rank any of the tournaments I won, but mostly just because there wasn't too much incredible about how they were won. There really isn't any formula or reasoning for how I chose where to rank each of these wins, its just based on opinion.
#10
3/11/2014
1 Roger P / Bob C
2 Peter S / Will S
3 Zoe L / Roger P
Roger was drawn twice because we had an odd number of players, sure enough he placed top three twice, including winning the event with Bob.

9/23/2014
1 Nathan V / Karli S
2 Will S / Mike J
3 Conrad K / Chad S
Nathan Van Melle and Karli won a 26 person tournament in dramatic fashion, a second set victory in a tournament that included pretty much all the best players in the city.

6/9/2015
1 Wayne M / Max M
2 Paul H / Nathan V
3 Roger P / Joe L
Last nights tournament, Max and Wayne put on a display of dominance in a tournament with several really strong teams. Wayne on the 5 and 3 looked in complete control, figuring out defenses and adjusting along the way.

1 Christof D / Conrad K
2 Chad S / Chris K
3 Karli S / Kevin S
Christof and Conrad, one of very few wins that doesn't include one of the top 5 on the team. After losing early in the night, they climbed through the B side and kicked everyones butts along the way. A double dip of Chris and Chad is no easy feat, but these guys were on fire that night.

1 Bob C / Kieran B
2 Christof D / Ed C
3 Ritchie D / Justin S
Bob and Kieran in another win that didn’t include any of the top 5. A huge tournament that night and a team that probably no one would have predicted to win it. Bob can actually turn it up pretty good when he catches fire, and with rock solid Kieran in the back they earned a fantastic win for a spot on this list.

3/18/2014
1 Zoe L / Chris K
2 Wayne M / Taras B
3 Conrad K / Mike C
Zoe and Chris kicked Bob and Will to the losers side early in this tournament and never turned back, Chris was at the top of his game this week and Zoe is always a monster from the 2 bar.
#4
1/20/2015
1 Nathan P / Ray R
2 Wayne M / Chris K
3 Bob C / Roger P
Nathan Perrot and Ray in the first win Nathan ever had playing front. The match against Chris and Wayne in the finals was one of the best we’ve seen in Edmonton and a dramatic late finish capped off #4 on the list.
#3
8/26/2014
1 Nathan V / Zoe L
2 Taras B / Will S
3 Chris K / Conrad K
Nathan Van Melle and Zoe came through a super hard chart including teams Roger and Carey, Nate and Kieran, Conrad and Chris, and Will and Taras. Probably the toughest 4 teams to all come out on the losing side of a tournament in Edmonton.
#2
3/3/2015
1 Darcy S / Ben W
2 Nathan P / Wayne M
3 Will S / Chris K
In what was a warm up tournament for Darcy and Ben before they headed off to Vegas, they came in and cleaned house. The first match against Nathan and Wayne was close, but they smoked everyone else the rest of the way to winning easily.

1 Wayne M / Nathan P
2 Will S / Chad S
3 Nathan V / Conrad K
A top 8 player only DYP night, all four teams had top players and Wayne and Nathan found their way to the win with both players defending on the 5, blocking, scoring, and passing. Wayne and Nathan Perrot were on fire in what could be viewed as a major turning point in EFL history From this tournament on both players have been consistently in the top 2-3 teams of any tournament they play.
